ABOUT Ronald Stovall

Brother Ronald D. Stovall, Jr., is a native of Detroit, MI, born and raised on the west side.
Brother Stovall learned the foundational principles of fighting the good fight from his parents. His father, Ron Sr., is a military veteran who fought in the Vietnam war, and his mother Rita, is a stay at home mom who fought multiple sclerosis into remission. Brother Stovall took that toughness and exceled in school from all aspects. Brother Stovall was the Valedictorian of his High School class and was an honors graduate from both his undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Brother Stovall holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology both from Kettering University, formerly General Motors Institute for Engineering and Management.
It was at Kettering University, on April 13, 2002 6:48:51 pm, where Brother Stovall saw the light and was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through the Theta Tau Chapter. Since then he has continued his maturation in the organization through Gamma Lambda Chapter (Detroit, MI) and now with Eta Tau Lambda Chapter (Akron, OH).
Brother Stovall has embodied espirit de fraternite, serving this great Fraternity on the Chapter, Regional and National levels. At the Chapter level, Brother Stovall served as Secretary, Historian, Associate Editor to the Sphinx and Vice President. On the District level, Brother Stovall as served as the Communications Director. And on the Regional level, he has served as Convention Registrar and Associate Executive Director. On the National level. Brother Stovall has also served as the National Chairman of Rules and Credentials and as a member of the National Management Information Systems (MIS) committee. Currently Brother Stovall serves as the Midwestern Region Executive Director and he remains a member of the National MIS Committee.
Professionally, Brother Stovall works at Rockwell Automation as the Technology Center Manager for Rockwell Automation University (RAU). He manages a budget of two million dollars and a team dedicated to the training and development of service engineers and college graduates. His efforts in the role include the expansion of RAU into the European market, creation of a new training program focused on placing veterans into the manufacturing sector, and modernization of the flagship Engineer in Training (EIT) program. He continues to coach and mentor engineers who themselves have risen to the roles of people and project management.
Brother Stovall has been married for 12 years to his college sweetheart, Tawanda, and they are the proud parents of a six-year-old daughter Annaliesse.
